8th Grade vs Hobart Middle School (36 - 56) Loss. The Taft 8th grade team took on the Brickies last night in the first game of the season. The Dogs started out with a strong first quarter, but then found themselves down 25-19 at half. Hobart continued to expand their lead in the second half and the bulldogs could not keep up. Jackson St. Germain had 14 points and Nash Melnick finished with 7 off the bench. The B game was all Taft from start to finish as a 21-4 halftime lead resulted in a 46-19 victory. Lazar Vukotic was a force down low with 7 points and Luke Baumann had 11.
