Robert A. Taft Middle School Athletics

The Taft 7th Grade A Team dropped a close road conference game to Ben Franklin, 34-28. The Lady Bulldogs were led by Imogen Suttle with 13 points, while Pyper Hatfield added 7. Taft’s record now stands at 2–1 on the season. The B-Game would be another close contest with a thrilling ending as the Lady Bulldogs would win by the score of 19-18. Both teams would battle back and forth for all four quarters, but the Bulldogs would pull out the victory with a big free throw by Aubree Laurinas with 7 seconds left in the game to break the 18-18 tie. The Lady Bulldogs were led in scoring by Journey Willis with 8 points, and Gracen Hus with 7. Great job ladies! The Lady Bulldogs return to action this Saturday at 8:30 a.m. against Michigan City Krueger in the opening game of the Taft A Tournament.
