Robert A. Taft Middle School Athletics

Today is Nash Melnick day here at Taft Middle School. He lead the Bulldogs in rushing yards, tackles, and scoring yesterday as the Bulldogs defeated Ben Franklin 18-8. Vince Gurnic had another fantastic day at Quarterback. He had a season high in rushing yards and passing completions. Jackson Deceault, Micha Davis, Leo Dzajkowski, and Vuk Stanojevic stiffled the Viking Offense and Sean Shoemaker executed a perfect onside kick to help the dogs take control of the game. The B team dropped a tough decision to the vikings 16 to 8 as the fumblitis bug made the bulldog offense sick with two costly turnovers. QBs Sam Metros and Hudson Marsh both played well and the Bulldog defense recorded its first safety of the year. Carston Novak had a great day at middle linebacker and AJ Garcia had his best day as a running back. The dogs are home next Tuesday against Thomas Jefferson. Go Bulldogs
