8th Grade vs Hobart Middle School (2 - 1) Win 8th Grade vs Thomas Jefferson Win Over fall break, the 8th grade girls competed in their conference tourney. On Tuesday, the girls traveled to Valpo to take on B.F. The girls fought hard to take the first set 25-23. B.F. Answered winning the second set 22-25. The girls rallied to win the match 15-6 to advance. On Wednesday, the girls faced another team, Westchester, that they lost to during the season. The girls took the first 2 sets 25-21 and 25-22. In the semi-finals, the girls faced a tough Hobart team who they lost to during the regular season. The girls again battled to win first set 25-20. Hobart would not be denied and took the second set 18-25. Again, the girls picked up their game to take the match 15-6. to advance to the finals. In the championship match, the girls took on Thomas Jefferson. The first set went back and forth, but the Lady Dogs pulled out the win 25-23. In the second set, Lexi Bumpass served the Lady Dogs to a 13-0 lead. Great play continued during the set winning 25-10 to give them the Conference Championship title. Great play by everyone. The girls ended the season 15-5. Great Job Girls!
